2. In short

We don’t use tracking or analytics and set no cookies of our own. Fonts and scripts come from our own server – with one exception: on the overview step the page loads Stripe’s payment script. We only process personal data to show you the preview and to handle your purchase.

3. Visiting the website

When you open the page, our server processes technically necessary data such as your IP address, date and time and the requested address in order to deliver the page. Access logs are not stored. To prevent abuse, we keep the IP address in memory for at most one minute to limit the number of requests. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest is secure and stable operation.

4. Measurements and preview

To show you the preview, your browser sends the measurements, the chosen options and your dog’s name (optional) to our server, where the pattern is calculated. We don’t store this data for the preview. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (steps prior to entering into a contract at your request).

In your browser (local storage) we keep your latest measurements, your language and unit and the links to patterns you bought, so you find them again next time. This data does not leave your device on its own. You can delete it at any time in your browser settings. Storing it is strictly necessary for the service you asked for (§ 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG).

5. Purchase and payment

When you buy the pattern set, we store with your order the patterns, the measurements, the options, your dog’s name (optional), the language, the amount, the time you agreed to the early expiry of the right of withdrawal and an identifier of the payment at Stripe. We need this so you can download the files for 90 days. We delete the order at the latest 30 days after that. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (performance of a contract).

You pay with Apple Pay. The payment is processed by Stripe (Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd., 1 Grand Canal Street Lower, Grand Canal Dock, Dublin, D02 H210, Ireland). When you reach the overview step, the page loads the Stripe.js script from Stripe’s servers. Stripe receives your IP address and technical information about your device and browser, also to prevent fraud, and may set its own cookies for this. Only Apple and Stripe see your card details, we don’t. From Apple Pay we receive your email address and pass it on to Stripe so that Stripe can send you the receipt with the download link; we don’t store it ourselves. Stripe may also transfer data to the USA; Stripe is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. More in Stripe’s privacy policy. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR; invoice and accounting records are kept as required by law (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR, § 147 AO, § 257 HGB).

6. Your rights

You have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and to object to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21). Just write to [Email address]. You can also complain to a data protection supervisory authority.
